thought they could do the same they said in the name of Jesus whom Paul preaches we command you to come out but what happened the demon responded Jesus I know and Paul I know but who are you and then that same demon overpowered them and humiliated them why because they had no Authority they had no covering they were trying to use the name of Jesus without submitting to the power of Jesus and that is what happens to so many Believers today they want to speak with authority but their lives are filled with compromise they want to walk in power but they have given the enemy legal rights through sin when demons look at them they do not see a warrior they see an Open Door James 4 says resist the devil and he will flee from you but how can you resist if you are still holding on to sin how can you rebuke the enemy when your actions invite back in every time you engage in sin you strengthen the hold of the enemy over your life every time you indulge in the flesh you weaken your spiritual defense and the longer you remain in this cycle the more powerless you become but here’s the truth you are never meant to be powerless you were never meant to be a victim of spiritual attacks God has called you to be a warrior to stand in authority to command Darkness to flee but it starts with breaking every agreement with the Enemy it starts with shutting every Open Door Ephesians 4:27 warns us do not give the devil a foothold that means you must close every entry point that means you must renounce every sin that means you must stop feeding the desires of the Flesh and start strengthening may still feel like you’re moving but you are not progressing you are running but not arriving look at the Israelites God had a Promised Land prepared for them a future overflowing with blessing and victory but what happened numbers 1433 to 34 tells us that their sin caused them to wander for 40 years of delay 40 Years of wasted time and an entire generation never entered what God had for them now think about this how many years has lust stolen from you how many doors have been closed because you weren’t spiritually ready how many opportun ities have passed you by because you were too distracted by sin to walk in your assignment Hebrews 12:1 gives us the answer let us lay aside every weight and the sin which doth so easily beset us sin is a weight it slows you down it keeps you from running the race God has set before you the devil does not care if you go to church he does not care if you read your Bible he only cares that you never walk in your full purpose because a man who is trapped in sin is a man who cannot walk in power a man who is bound in lust is a man who will never fully step into the authority that God has given him but hear me now God has a purpose for you he has an assignment that only you can fulfill you were created for more than this you were chosen to walk in Victory not in delay you were called to live in power not in distraction so what must you do first you must find your assignment Jeremiah 1: 15 says before I formed you in the womb I knew you and before before you were born I set you apart you were created with a purpose and it is time to pursue it second you must cut off anything that slows you down 2 Timothy 2:22 tells us to flee youthful lusts you cannot entertain sin and expect to walk in Divine acceleration you cannot keep
