Retranscription des paroles de la vidéo: what if I told you that many of the common beliefs about masturbation are actually myths so in this video we’re going to talk about why self-pleasure is an important part of female sexual health let’s start by going over some of the common myths myth number one masturbation is uncommon or abnormal for women the truth is research shows that masturbation is actually very common among women in a large survey study they found that up to 94% of women in the sample reported masturbating in the past 12 to 24 months and this is similar to multiple other studies and the median frequency of masturbation has been about once a week or once every two weeks myth number two women only masturbate with dildos now in a study that surveyed over 2,000 women about their masturbation habits 97% of women masturbated using clitoral stimulation which means they don’t need a dildo for that only 45% used vaginal stimulation meaning inserting something in their vagina so 41% used erotic enhancements which are things like maybe watching something or listening to something or using a mirror and 39% used sexual fantasies and that would usually incorporate fantasizing about one’s part partner so no they’re not all using dildos very often they’re using other things to help them masturbate or using their own hands myth number three masturbation will replace a man so when looking at that same study when they asked women the most important reason for masturbating less than 10% answered it was because of either lack of sexual activity with their partner or that their partner didn’t want sex or that they found that sex with their partner doesn’t satisfy them in fact women who masturbated more actually tended to have more partnered sex and there was one exception women who didn’t have chance to have sex with a partner either because they didn’t have a partner or their partner didn’t want sex those women tended to masturbate more and have less partner sex but for obvious reasons right their partner is either not there or doesn’t want it and even if they were unhappy with their sexual relationship with their partner when they masturbated more often they tended to still have more partnered sex so basically for the majority of women masturbation just makes up for lack of sex it’s not actually replacing it and ultimately women with higher sex drive had higher rates of both masturbation and partnered sex so women want both myth number four masturbation is harmful or addictive there is no scientific evidence that masturbation ation is physically harmful or addictive in fact Studies have shown several potential benefits of masturbation so what are those benefits masturbation can have positive effects on both physical and mental health it can help with stress relief masturbation and orgasm releases endorphins which can help reduce stress and overall improve mood masturbation can improve sleep after orgasm if you mast rute to orgasm the relaxation after orgasm can help women fall asleep more easily pain relief some women even report that masturbation can help alleviate pain specifically menstrual crabs or even headaches and it can cause improved body image by exploring your own body you can actually feel like you have greater acceptance of your body and feel more confident sexually and lastly it can help with your overall Sexual Health regular masturbation is causing increased blood flow to the clitoris now if you’re not masturbating that doesn’t mean that you’re not going to have a healthy clitoris your body will test the clitoris and detest the clitoris over the course of a nighttime but masturbation is certainly causing increased blood flow to the genitalia which is important and helpful for overall function now I think it’s really important to realize that every person’s relationship with masturbation is is unique there is no right or wrong amount of masturbation it really depends on how you personally feel about masturbation and what feels comfortable for you and what feels healthy for you if you feel like it’s not great then it’s not great because that’s how you perceive it and researchers found that women who have more positive views on masturbation overall tend to be more comfortable with their bodies feel more in control of sexual situations have better communication with their partners and conversely women who view masturbation as negative often view their genitals as just belonging to their male Partners rather than themselves which can lead to negative thoughts about sexuality so it’s really important to develop a healthy positive relationship with your own body and masturbation can really help with that myth number five masturbating will make it difficult for a women to orgasm during partnered sex now when you look at orgasmic pleasure it has actually been seen to be higher in women who are masturbating more frequently who are older and have less difficulty getting orgasms and these women also tended to cite sexual pleasure as their primary reason for masturbating so probably if you have a partner who enjoys masturbating for pleasure then they’re going to have better orgasms now there’s with one exception and I’ve talked about this this before if you are masturbating with a technique that is not able to be replicated by a partner meaning you’re using vibration which can’t be replicated by a mouth or a finger you can’t move that fast right and so in those cases if that’s the only way you’re orgasming every single time then it may be difficult to orgasm with the partner if they’re not using a vibrator now that doesn’t mean that you have to figure out how to orgasm that way if you want to sure you can take a break from the vibration and see if you can train yourself to be more sensitive to those other types of stimulation conversely you can actually have your partner bring the toy in the bedroom and use it to help you orgasm and that can be a very pleasurable and fun experience now when you think about orgasms there’s a higher rate of orgasmic difficulty in women who masturbate less frequently also in women who are younger who tend to have less satisfaction with their sexual relationships and they tend to masturbate really to decrease anxiety or sexual tension rather than for pleasure now it’s worth noting that masturbation can vary from person to person but in that study where they surveyed women about their masturbation habits they actually were able to categorize women into three different distinct categories based on their habits of masturbation type one which was about 731 women in the study was women who are very sexually active they often both masturbate and have sex with partners and they really value sex they’re satisfied with their sexual relationships and they have little trouble reaching orgasm quickly and enjoyably type two which was 587 women these women frequently have sex with Partners but they rarely masturbate they generally value sex highly and they are satisfied with their sexual relationships but compared to that first group they tend to have a little bit more trouble and take a little longer to reach orgasm and when they do they find it a little bit less pleasurable and these women tend to masturbate again more for stress relief than pleasure and the last group was type three these women tend to frequently masturbate but they have sex with Partners less often and they tend to place less importance on sex and are less satisfied in general with their sexual relationships and these are the women who are using masturbation to compensate for either less satisfying partnered sexual experiences and that’s okay not every woman is going to fit perfectly into one of these categories and you might find yourself in a different category depending on different phases of life these are just general patterns they’re not strict rules but ultimately it is sort of a way to think about how masturbation actually affects women very differently and it can be used in a variety of different ways but it’s never replacing a part and it’s never really damaging the person who’s using it all right guys I hope you guys found this video helpful if you did you may want to check out my free ebook about better sex better life you guys know I 0.52 what if I told you that many of the
.0 common beliefs about masturbation are
.64 actually myths so in this video we’re
.72 going to talk about why self-pleasure is
.08 an important part of female sexual
.16 health let’s start by going over some of
.599 the common myths myth number one
.96 masturbation is uncommon or abnormal for
.48 women the truth is research shows that
.679 masturbation is actually very common
.76 among women in a large survey study they
.88 found that up to 94% of women in the
.2 sample reported masturbating in the past
.96 12 to 24 months and this is similar to
.28 multiple other studies and the median
.92 frequency of masturbation has been about
.719 once a week or once every two weeks myth
.28 number two women only masturbate with
.8 dildos now in a study that surveyed over
.879 2,000 women about their masturbation
.28 habits
.44 97% of women masturbated using clitoral
.72 stimulation which means they don’t need
.4 a dildo for that only 45% used vaginal
.72 stimulation meaning inserting something
.64 in their vagina so 41% used erotic
.4 enhancements which are things like maybe
.799 watching something or listening to
.32 something or using a mirror and 39% used
.32 sexual fantasies and that would usually
.92 incorporate fantasizing about one’s part
.92 partner so no they’re not all using
.88 dildos very often they’re using other
.32 things to help them masturbate or using
.32 their own hands myth number three
.799 masturbation will replace a man so when
.24 looking at that same study when they
.0 asked women the most important reason
.439 for masturbating less than 10% answered
.52 it was because of either lack of sexual
.64 activity with their partner or that
.399 their partner didn’t want sex or that
.119 they found that sex with their partner
.159 doesn’t satisfy them in fact women who
.96 masturbated more actually tended to have
.28 more partnered sex and there was one
.479 exception women who didn’t have chance
.48 to have sex with a partner either
.0 because they didn’t have a partner or
.879 their partner didn’t want sex those
.959 women tended to masturbate more and have
.2 less partner sex but for obvious reasons
.599 right their partner is either not there
.68 or doesn’t want it and even if they were
.68 unhappy with their sexual relationship
.0 with their partner when they masturbated
.8 more often they tended to still have
.12 more partnered sex so basically for the
.68 majority of women masturbation just
.0 makes up for lack of sex it’s not
.44 actually replacing it and ultimately
.28 women with higher sex drive had higher
.959 rates of both masturbation and partnered
.2 sex so women want both myth number four
.959 masturbation is harmful or addictive
.92 there is no scientific evidence that
.239 masturbation ation is physically harmful
.04 or addictive in fact Studies have shown
.12 several potential benefits of
.239 masturbation so what are those benefits
.56 masturbation can have positive effects
.08 on both physical and mental health it
.56 can help with stress relief masturbation
.0 and orgasm releases endorphins which can
.48 help reduce stress and overall improve
.12 mood masturbation can improve sleep
.08 after orgasm if you mast rute to orgasm
.68 the relaxation after orgasm can help
.76 women fall asleep more
.2 easily pain relief some women even
.48 report that masturbation can help
.04 alleviate pain specifically menstrual
.68 crabs or even headaches and it can cause
.799 improved body image by exploring your
.599 own body you can actually feel like you
.68 have greater acceptance of your body and
.72 feel more confident sexually and lastly
.2 it can help with your overall Sexual
.48 Health regular masturbation is causing
.799 increased blood flow to the clitoris now
.239 if you’re not masturbating that doesn’t
.48 mean that you’re not going to have a
.76 healthy clitoris your body will test the
.319 clitoris and detest the clitoris over
.879 the course of a nighttime but
.76 masturbation is certainly causing
.32 increased blood flow to the genitalia
.04 which is important and helpful for
.759 overall
.72 function now I think it’s really
.479 important to realize that every person’s
.68 relationship with masturbation is is
.919 unique there is no right or wrong amount
.6 of masturbation it really depends on how
.96 you personally feel about masturbation
.199 and what feels comfortable for you and
.56 what feels healthy for you if you feel
.759 like it’s not great then it’s not great
.639 because that’s how you perceive it and
.68 researchers found that women who have
.52 more positive views on masturbation
.199 overall tend to be more comfortable with
.8 their bodies feel more in control of
.44 sexual situations have better
.88 communication with their partners and
.16 conversely women who view masturbation
.4 as negative often view their genitals as
.44 just belonging to their male Partners
.84 rather than themselves which can lead to
.52 negative thoughts about sexuality so
.4 it’s really important to develop a
.479 healthy positive relationship with your
.12 own body and masturbation can really
.12 help with that myth number five
.28 masturbating will make it difficult for
.039 a women to orgasm during partnered sex
.84 now when you look at orgasmic pleasure
.319 it has actually been seen to be higher
.84 in women who are masturbating more
.68 frequently who are older and have less
.8 difficulty getting orgasms and these
.96 women also tended to cite sexual
.36 pleasure as their primary reason for
.52 masturbating so probably if you have a
.039 partner who enjoys masturbating for
.919 pleasure then they’re going to have
.16 better orgasms now there’s with one
.039 exception and I’ve talked about this
.68 this before if you are masturbating with
.039 a technique that is not able to be
.08 replicated by a partner meaning you’re
.68 using vibration which can’t be
.56 replicated by a mouth or a finger you
.28 can’t move that fast right and so in
.759 those cases if that’s the only way
.24 you’re orgasming every single time then
.639 it may be difficult to orgasm with the
.039 partner if they’re not using a vibrator
.919 now that doesn’t mean that you have to
.199 figure out how to orgasm that way if you
.68 want to sure you can take a break from
.8 the vibration and see if you can train
.72 yourself to be more sensitive to those
.88 other types of stimulation conversely
.199 you can actually have your partner bring
.96 the toy in the bedroom and use it to
.039 help you orgasm and that can be a very
.639 pleasurable and fun experience now when
.919 you think about orgasms there’s a higher
.759 rate of orgasmic difficulty in women who
.36 masturbate less frequently also in women
.72 who are younger who tend to have less
.0 satisfaction with their sexual
.96 relationships and they tend to
.68 masturbate really to decrease anxiety or
.0 sexual tension rather than for pleasure
.759 now it’s worth noting that masturbation
.639 can vary from person to person but in
.84 that study where they surveyed women
.599 about their masturbation habits they
.919 actually were able to categorize women
.84 into three different distinct categories
.319 based on their habits of masturbation
.24 type one which was about 731 women in
.479 the study was women who are very
.919 sexually active they often both
.4 masturbate and have sex with partners
.84 and they really value sex they’re
.4 satisfied with their sexual
.039 relationships and they have little
.759 trouble reaching orgasm quickly and
.319 enjoyably type two which was 587 women
.68 these women frequently have sex with
.52 Partners but they rarely masturbate they
.919 generally value sex highly and they are
.319 satisfied with their sexual
.039 relationships but compared to that first
.599 group they tend to have a little bit
.4 more trouble and take a little longer to
.72 reach orgasm and when they do they find
.28 it a little bit less pleasurable and
.96 these women tend to masturbate again
.52 more for stress relief than pleasure and
.52 the last group was type three these
.8 women tend to frequently masturbate but
.36 they have sex with Partners less often
.319 and they tend to place less importance
.639 on sex and are less satisfied in general
.52 with their sexual relationships and
.879 these are the women who are using
.52 masturbation to compensate for either
.12 less satisfying partnered sexual
.44 experiences and that’s okay not every
.36 woman is going to fit perfectly into one
.2 of these categories and you might find
.839 yourself in a different category
.159 depending on different phases of life
.36 these are just general patterns they’re
.12 not strict rules but ultimately it is
.48 sort of a way to think about how
.44 masturbation actually affects women very
.399 differently and it can be used in a
.92 variety of different ways but it’s never
.399 replacing a part
.959 and it’s never really damaging the
.48 person who’s using it all right guys I
