meant to be a mighty warrior but because he he could not control his flesh he ended up in Chains bound and Powerless before his enemies how many people today have powerful god-given Destinies but are spiritually bound because they keep falling into sexual sin how many preachers leaders and prayer warriors have been weakened delayed or completely destroyed because of this one Temptation the truth is Satan is not after your pleasure he is after your purpose he does not want you to walk in power to lead others to Christ or to impact the world for God’s kingdom he wants to keep you so distracted by your personal struggles that you never rise into your true calling but here’s the good news you don’t have to stay stuck God’s plan for your life is still there waiting for you to step into it no matter how many times you have fallen his grace is greater but you must make a decision will you continue to let the enemy rob you or will you fight back the time you have lost can be restored but only if you choose to break free from the distractions and realign your life with God’s purpose it’s time to stop trading your future for momentary pleasure your destiny is too important your calling is too great and your time is too valuable to waste on something that only weakens you step away from the sin that is holding you back and step into the power Clarity and Divine Purpose that God has created you for four your connection with God your relationship with God is the most valuable thing you have yet sin especially sexual sin is designed to separate you from his presence the Bible makes this clear in Isaiah 59:2 your iniquities have separated you from your God your sins have hidden his face from you so that he will not hear sin does not just create guilt it creates distance the more tempts you to sin and then he accuses you for falling into it he lures you in with lies like it’s not a big deal or God understands but the moment you give in he fills your mind with condemnation making you feel so ashamed that you begin to avoid God altogether instead of repenting and running back to him you start believing the lie that you are too far gone too dirty and too unworthy over time this creates a dangerous cycle the more distant you feel from God the weaker your spiritual life becomes your prayer life dries up your passion Fades and before long you find yourself completely completely disconnected from the presence of God this is how many Christians lose their fire not because they intentionally turn away from God but because sin slowly erodes their connection with him Proverbs 25:28 like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control a city Without Walls is completely open to attack defenseless against its enemies in the same way when you lose control over your flesh you are wide open to demonic influence at first masturbation may seem like something you can manage you tell yourself I can stop anytime but over time you start realizing that it has more control control over you than you have over it what started as an occasional Indulgence becomes a habit then a compulsion then an addiction suddenly you find yourself trapped unable motivation Fades the very things that once kept you strong prayer worship Time In God’s Presence now feel distant and difficult this is what happened to Samson in the Bible Judges 16 he was a man chosen by God gifted with Supernatural strength but because of his lack of self-control he lost everything he thought he could play with sin and still remain powerful but he didn’t realize that every Indulgence was making him weaker eventually he was spiritually blind before he was physically blind he didn’t just lose his sight he lost his strength his anointing and his freedom this is exactly what happens when you continue giving into sin the more you indulge the harder it becomes to resist Satan wants you to believe that self-control is impossible that once you’re addicted there’s no way out but that is a Lie 2 Timothy 1:7 says for God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of self-control self-control is not something you have to create on your own it is a gift from God but you have to be willing to fight for it if you feel like masturbation has taken control over you know that you don’t have to stay a slave to it you were not created to live in
