of stuff later on that you cannot get away in the first seven days because you get the biggest urges in the first seven days you will have the need to watch porn the most because you won’t know what to do with your life your time your energy in those days and so today I’m going to break down how to survive those first seven days and what are the best tactics in order to just get through them what do you do in the first four four to seven days so in the first two days you get these flashbacks behind your eyelids of porn of erotic material and you know this is normal and you will have flashbacks of porn and you have to understand that this isn’t watching porn this isn’t cheating and this doesn’t hurt your recovery at all you have to separate the porn in real life from the porn in your brain as your brain remembers it because your brain cannot remember porn um as dopamine energic like you won’t get that big boost of dopamine that you want to avoid at all costs just from remembering porn so you know I would remember porn much later I would remember porn you know recently but I wouldn’t get the dopamine boost because I’m not seeking porn you get the dopamine boost really when you are seeking when you are are expecting to watch porn later on that’s the trick if you know that the answer is going to be no and if you know that you’re going to say no to watching Port each and every single time you will not get that dopamine boost and even in the first couple of days the dopamine amount that you will get will be much lower by default so when you get through the first two days it will be very easy to get through usually day two day three because things see seem to get easier and you know this is the false hope this is the you know when you think uh a goal is very close but it’s actually very far because once you get to the end of day three or into day four you will have this big first Rush of urges and your brain will be basically craving more dopamine like oh [ __ ] something happened we need more of the the crutch we need more of what we were expecting cuz you were expecting your brain was expecting that you’re going to watch porn any time now and it didn’t and so your brain puts on this After Burner of urges and you will be bombarded with urges and you will have to resist this and this has to be done by force but that doesn’t mean like sit in your room and actually try to resist the urges what you have to understand about urges is when you do something new you cannot really have urges like have new experiences go outside or do something that’s that requires a lot of your focus for example if you go outside and do a a trailer run for example or you go outside or just go to the gym and do a very very hard workout you will basically distract your brain and this tactic only works in these first couple of days because this is not a natural urge this is not a sexual urge this is like a completely insane urge so you can go out and socialize as well so these are already three things you know running especially Traer running really really helpful very very healthy if it’s safe to do in your area uh hard workouts either a calisthetics park or the gym and socializing and I don’t mean like hey call up your friends and then you’ll be like oh but I don’t have any friends to call no go outside go to a park sit down and study or just you know strike up a conversation with somebody who works there for example or my favorite is just go to a coffee shop order a coffee if it’s like the morning or a decaf so it doesn’t [ __ ] up your sleep and just work or or study there and so you will be in a social environment and you’re basically handing off accountability on a very temporary time frame like you don’t want to hand off accountability you should be 100% accountable for your actions but during these days day three day four you really want to have as little opportunity to watch porn as possible and so this is how you can survive these urges and of course meditate a lot because meditation helps you to rewire the way that you react to your thoughts by default you think of watching porn and then you become horny and then you go and watch porn that’s called a slip up or a relapse if you do it long enough but really what meditation does is it contr it makes you control the thought so if you have the thoughts to watch porn you can dismiss that so you will not have the emotion uh and you will not get horny therefore you won’t watch porn it’s like get meditation really gets to the root of the problem and so that’s why it’s so important but it won’t work in 4 days this will work in 30 days that’s why it’s so important to do meditation from day one you can do a 10minute meditation every single day you know what I recommend is the mindfulness meditation when you focus on your breath and if you do that by around day 30 you will get good enough at it that it will have extremely good positive benefits and you will be experiencing you know better and better mental health just in general and on top of that you will get less urges as well so so yeah day four you know get out there socialize and if that means talk to nobody just go out to a coffee shop you know you still have to talk to the person at the coffee uh what is it called like the Barista right you still have to talk to some people and really force yourself into conversations if you have somebody to call like a parent that you haven’t called in a while even or a friend that you usually don’t call you can still call them up and you know start uh chat with them you know it doesn’t have to be longer than 10 to 20 minutes you know I don’t like to have overly long phone conversations but with some people I can talk for about an hour although I only talk for you know once a year maybe but uh get some conversations going and if you can’t do that just go out into places where other people are parks again coffee shops and so that’s how you survived the big big urges now you will still have to do the resisting part because you will be going to B at some point you will be alone at some point you know on the toilet or whatever you will have your smartphone with you and so you will have to resist you will have to dismiss the thought of watching porn you will have to say like no I’m not going to do this so there is a part where you will still be responsible but by going out you reduce the weight like you still have to carry the bag full of stones but the bag is smaller when you spend a lot of time outside when you spend a lot of time time in public and so that’s after you get this first urge the biggest urge is always going to be the first one the real real real first huge urge and after that every single urge is going to be easier to resist and you know there are many explanations to this it’s you know psychological effect just uh you prove yourself worthy and so your your subconscious accepts that okay we’re not going to watch porn anymore second of all you become more skilled in the present like you get better at resisting urges you get better at resisting acting upon your emotions and so that’s very important and so this is why you get better and why it gets easier to resist or just later on and you will get to a point by around day 30 to day 90 where you will not even have a real urge you will just have the thought of hey maybe I should you know do watch no it’s like it’s like it at the level of thought it gets dismissed there is no emotion to it there is no expectation no dopamine Spike and your life will be at that point very very seamless and you know at that point like superpowers yeah sure superpowers are coming on and you you might be enjoying your new social skills and eye contact and everything but after day 0 stuff is going to feel very nor normal but well that’s not exactly true cuz everything will be better but it will feel like everything as it is meant to be because it is this is the way it’s meant to be you being on noap you’re not watching porn if you’re using porn on a daily basis you’re doing it wrong you should not watch porn at all you know as I said before masturbation isn’t watching porn porn isn’t masturbation porn is a trap for the Young Generation and everybody’s stuck in it and so once you quit porn not only will your life change for the better but you will also have an advantage an unfair advantage to be honest over everybody else in your in your area in your age group and so that’s why it’s super super important to to excel at noap to get good at noap and if it means you know relapsing a couple of times like at at the start I kind of relapsed on purpose because I wasn’t really sure if noap works so I just used it as a biohacking tool to get better at My Thai which is like a martial arts so I I would have like a martial arts class I would you know I would punch the bags I would be sparring and then after that I would watch porn like once or twice and then I would wait so my energy builds up and so I did that biohacking thing for a while and a lot of guys don’t have that period of a couple of months when they do that instead they are struggling to quit forever and so that that has a very negative psychological effect but you do have to understand like relapses or sleep ups are part of the Journey of you getting free of porn because you are programmed to watch porn ever since a very young age you were programmed you were watching porn and you know those guys who were smoking cigarettes at the age of 12 to 13 years old those guys are complete nicotine addicts by now and so you are similar to those guys unfortunately in some ways because although you didn’t know that watching por was bad it was and you were just not aware of it so we have to get through the you know the withdrawal process and then you know establishing the right tools and getting your life back on track without the need to rely on porn that’s what noap is all about but unlike Alcoholic Anonymous or whatever nicotine ads Anonymous noap isn’t forever like your brain is going to heal itself that’s the beauty about porn like it’s an addiction that that is based on something that’s real so you can just take out the addiction from the whole formula and everything goes back into place in in one to two years so I would say usually people after 6 months to two years depending on how long they’ve been watching porn they just get off noof fap and that doesn’t mean like they they start watching porn again what it means is they stop carrying
